Effective 2026-07-14. These terms restate what AWM's systems actually do; where a page or an API response conflicts with this text, the systems' behavior and the on-chain record are the truth, and this page has a bug — tell us via the dispute channel in §7.
A rental exists only against a locked quote. The quote states the hardware (by minerId), the chain, the window (24h or 48h), and the price in USDC. The price is locked until the quote's expiry and is never recomputed at payment time; a quote backs exactly one rental, ever. The quote page (/quote?…) and its quoteId are your receipt of what was offered; the rental's publicId is your receipt of what was delivered (/proof/{publicId}). Keep both.
A quote locks the price, not the hardware. AWM is first come, first served: if the hardware is taken before you complete, your order is refused, your payment authorization is voided, and the refusal says fundsTaken: false — because none were.
You buy a contracted hashrate for a window. Delivery is measured at AWM's own pool in accepted shares — proof-of-work, not self-reporting — and published per rental at /proof/{publicId}. If the hardware delivers less than contracted, the lease fee pro-rates in the renter's favour on shares actually delivered; the difference is refunded. There is no delivery threshold to game, in either direction. (Owner-side settlement of the 90% lease share is not yet live and its API says so honestly; renter pro-ration is part of the order lifecycle.)
Before an order: availability is re-checked live at order time — a dead pool refuses the order and no funds move. Mid-window: if AWM's pool or proxy fails, the machine's hash automatically restores to its owner's own pool; the renter's window is made whole by pro-ration (§2) for the delivery actually received, up to and including a full void of the lease if nothing was delivered. AWM does not keep money for hash it did not route.
Payment runs through the AuthCapture escrow contract on Base (0xBdEA0D1bcC5966192B070Fdf62aB4EF5b4420cff — read it on Basescan — source verified, Exact Match; unaudited, and we say so). Your USDC is authorized when you order and captured only against fulfilment. Every failure path — lost race, refused chain, expired quote, dead pool — voids the authorization: fundsTaken: false.
If a valid block lands inside your window, 100% of the block reward is yours, minus the costs of converting it to USDC on Base. AWM's only revenue is 10% of the lease fee, paid block or no block — AWM takes nothing from the block, and neither does the hardware owner. One pass-through: ckpool's fixed 0.1% developer donation, baked into the pool software.
Settlement timing is physics: a coinbase output is unspendable for 100 blocks (~16h on BTC) — a consensus rule no wallet escapes. Pipeline: block → maturity → conversion via Coinbase's exchange rails (typical conversion + on-chain costs well under 1% at block scale; exact figures ride the settlement receipt) → USDC to the wallet you gave at order time. Typically 24–48h. If conversion fails or is delayed, the reward is not lost: it sits at AWM's published payout address (/proof), watchable by you and everyone else, until conversion clears. Custody status of those addresses is disclosed on the same page and is not overstated here.
Solo mining is lottery-style. Every quote prints its odds and its expected value, and the price runs above EV — the multiplier (flat 1.5x, USD 0.20 order minimum) is a disclosed odds premium. Most windows find no block. A rental is a defined-cost shot at a defined prize: not mining income, not an investment, not financial advice. Only spend what you are comfortable not recovering. No accounts, no KYC; you are responsible for your own wallet, keys, and tax treatment.
Interim process, stated plainly while a support mailbox is stood up: a dispute anchors on your two receipts — the quoteId (what was offered, at what locked price) and the publicId (what was delivered, per the proof page) — plus the on-chain record (escrow authorization/void on Base; any block at the published payout addresses). Those artifacts are designed so that most disputes resolve by arithmetic rather than argument. Raise one through the operator contact published on this site as it becomes available; this section will be updated with a dedicated dispute address. Nothing in this section limits whatever rights your jurisdiction gives you.
AWM is operated by an independent operator; a formal legal entity (LLC) is being established and this page will name it, with jurisdiction, when registration completes. Until then, that gap is disclosed here rather than papered over — weigh it accordingly, alongside everything AWM lets you verify without trusting it (/proof).
Terms may change; the effective date at the top moves when they do. A change never applies retroactively to a rental already ordered — the quote you paid against is the contract you got (§1).
