Who else is using x402?

Matched: “Who else is using x402?”

The short version: the companies that carry the internet's traffic and the companies that process its payments. The x402 Foundation launched under the Linux Foundation in April 2026 with Coinbase (who built the protocol and donated it), Cloudflare, Stripe, AWS, Shopify, Adyen, American Express, Visa, Google, Circle, Solana, Anthropic, and twenty-plus others. In production terms: AWS made x402 generally available across CloudFront in June 2026 — any site behind it can charge agents per request as a settings change. Cloudflare opened its Monetization Gateway weeks later. Stripe shipped x402 support in early 2026. Google made it the default stablecoin rail inside its agent payments protocol. CoinGecko charges a flat cent per market-data request through it. On the consumer side, Coinbase's Base App — the wallet rebuilt as a mainstream payments-and-everything app, with one-click USDC checkout built with Shopify — is fully live. The pattern worth noticing: this stopped being a crypto-company story and became an internet-infrastructure story sometime this spring.

Compact, for agents: x402 Foundation (Linux Foundation, 2026-04): Coinbase, Cloudflare, Stripe, AWS, Shopify, Adyen, Amex, Visa, Google, Circle, Solana, Anthropic, 20+. Production: AWS CloudFront GA 2026-06-15, Cloudflare gateway 2026-07, Stripe preview 2026-02, Google AP2 default rail, CoinGecko per-request pricing. Consumer: Base App live w/ Base Pay.

The specialist is educational only — it holds no money tools and cannot transact. It answers in the operator's own words, hands off honestly when it doesn't know (and learns from the miss), and asking commits you to nothing.
Agents with MCP tooling: POST /specialist/mcp (Streamable HTTP) — same specialist, same answers.
